The Union des Grands Crus de Bordeaux (UGCB) which was founded in 1973 counts 134 member châteaux today. It promotes Bordeaux Great growth wines throughout the world, organizing more than 70 tasting events per year in the main export markets.
Historically Japan is one of the major stops on the traditional UGCB promotion tour, the UGCB has been travelling to Tokyo for the past 15 years. In 2016 for the first time, the UGCB teams up with Vinexpo Tokyo to pour their wines in Tokyo in the prestigious setting which is the Prince Park Tower hotel Tokyo.
This year the UGCB members will pour 86 Bordeaux Grand Crus wines from the 2013 vintage in a walk around tasting at Vinexpo Tokyo. The tasting, which takes place in the ball room of the Prince Park Tower hotel is open for trade and press from 11 Am to 6PM, Wine lovers may join the tasting between 4 PM and 6PM. The wines will be served by the châteaux owners from Bordeaux or their representative.
